Great to meet you!

I have dual licensure as a LPC in Texas and as a LCMHC in NC. I work primarily with adults, couples, and adolescents (ages 13 and up). I have been working as a therapist since 2021. I obtained a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2023. My research interests have focused on treatments for trauma, PTSD, interpersonal violence, fear, shame, and associated disorders like depression and anxiety. I am also a licensed school counselor in Tennessee and have over 30 years of experience working with youth in various roles in the schools, youth ministry, and clinical mental health.

My approach to therapy

I work primarily from a Process-Experiential perspective which integrates Attachment, Person-centered, Gestalt, and Cognitive-Behavioral therapies. I also utilize Mindfulness-Based approaches. I have training in Polyvagal Theory, Flash, EMDR, and Creative Arts Personal Growth for overcoming fear and shame.

What you can expect from me

I aim to provide a psychologically safe environment where clients can experience and repair trust, safety, and healthy attachment and growth through Rogerian empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard.
