Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Rachel, and I am a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to supporting children, teens, parents, and families. I love helping young people navigate challenges including anxiety, stress, behavioral concerns, family transitions, school-related pressures, and traumatic events. I also partner closely with parents and caregivers to strengthen family relationships, improve communication, and increase understanding of how to support children's emotional and behavioral needs. With over 15 years of experience in schools, outpatient clinics, and child welfare programs, I create warm and collaborative sessions that address the unique needs of each client and family that I work with.

My approach to therapy

I believe that every client is different and deserves their own individualized, flexible, and creative approach. My work is rooted in a strength-based and trauma-informed perspective which includes recognizing the impact of difficult experiences, providing a safe and supportive space to heal, and identifying strategies that build on what has already been working. I feel strongly that everyone can benefit from therapy, and that all people are capable of change.

What you can expect from me

In my first session with clients, my goal is to start building a relationship based on trust and respect. I approach all clients with kindness and curiosity, and a genuine desire to help. During an initial session I'm interested in gathering as much information as my clients feel comfortable sharing about themselves. This usually includes exploring history, current challenges, strengths, goals, and any prior experience with mental health treatment.
