Great to meet you!

Rachel is a graduate of the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Capital Region (Albany/Troy) of New York State. Rachel has extensive training and experience with complex trauma and PTSD, mood disorders, relationship conflict, grief/loss, and difficult life transitions. She currently offers talk therapy for these issues as well as ketamine-assisted and psychedelic integration therapy.

My approach to therapy

Rachel sees most mental health and relational challenges as survival strategies for a sick society rather than symptoms of a sick individual. But she also recognizes our survival-oriented coping strategies can be limiting or even detrimental. Her practice is creative, holistic, relationship-focused, and prioritizes accessing each client's innate wisdom and healing capacities.

What you can expect from me

Rachel prioritizes getting to know you, your history, and your environment first, then co-creation of a plan for treatment that honors your strengths, growth areas, and goals. Her sessions are usually structured but always centered on your goals or priorities. Reflective practices in between sessions are encouraged.
