Great to meet you!

Hi there! I'm Rachel, a counselor, dog mom, and advocate for wellness.

I have a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Western Illinois University. My work experience includes residential behavioral care, community mental health, large private practice, and self-owned private practice.

I work with adult clients who are struggling with mood disorders, individuals exploring their religious or spiritual beliefs, and couples looking to improve their relationships.

My approach to therapy

I take a blended approach to therapy, rooted in the evidence-based practices of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Combined with the fundamentals of Narrative therapy and solution-focused skills development, CBT allows my clients to pursue their goals using various tools, perspectives, and data.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect an approachable yet professional demeanor when working with me. Many clients leave their sessions with relevant metaphors, poignant jokes, and insights to reflect on. I bring a balance of empathy and accountability to this process.
