My approach to therapy incorporates an understanding of how trauma and chronic stress can shape how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us, often pulling us away from a sense of safety, connection, and inner trust. Adverse life experiences can quietly shape our beliefs, coping strategies, and sense of self, often in ways that once protected us but no longer serve us. I view therapy as a place to gently listen to these survival responses with curiosity and compassion, allowing space for healing and integration. With time, this process can support a deeper reconnection to yourself and a sense of returning home.
In our work together, I focus on understanding how these experiences live in the nervous system and supporting you in restoring a sense of grounding, choice, and self-compassion. I believe healing is not about fixing what is “wrong,” but about building a kinder, more trusting relationship with yourself.
My work integrates EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. As a certified yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner, I value the body’s wisdom and may incorporate mindfulness or somatic awareness into our sessions.
