Great to meet you!

I have specialized training in eating disorders/disordered eating, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and trauma (including having a loved one with BPD). I often work with women exploring queerness for the first time. I have a background in astrology and will weave it into my work with clients who also resonate with this wisdom tradition.

My approach to therapy

I tend to work with folks who have a loud inner critic, worry they are a bad person, or blame themselves when something goes wrong. I work with my clients on learning how to ground in the present moment when these feelings arise and how to create new ways of seeing themselves. I practice psychodynamic therapy or in other words, I am interested in how your past informs your present. I believe in the mind-body connection and am passionate about helping people learn how to connect back to their body. I am trained in EMDR and have found this type of therapy to be really supportive and effective in this process of reconnecting to the body.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, I spend time getting to know who you are, what you want to accomplish in therapy, and your background. I believe the most foundational piece of a successful therapy is the connection you feel with your therapist. At the core of this for me is listening to and honoring how you define yourself and your experiences. If any of this resonates with you, feel free to email me!
