Great to meet you!

I work in a direct, inquisitive way to ask the obvious and not so obvious questions about what motivates you, what keeps you blocked off from desire, and what, if anything, can change. I trained at the Ackerman Family Institute to better understand why and how our families form the basis for who we are.

My approach to therapy

Your experience is the only thing you have to go on, I help by providing context for some of the swirling emotions you may be feeling, and looking for patterns to ground you in your own story. I am an active participant when I feel it is needed, I offer no promises but compassion and a relentless drive to understand.

What you can expect from me

We will begin by exploring what brings you to therapy, what your goals are and how you would know if you had reached them. You are welcome to ask me any questions, and we will explore whatever history you choose to share. I typically meet with new clients for three sessions to get to know one another, and then we make a decision together about whether or not it is a good fit and if we should proceed. I am non judgemental, warm and inviting. I have a sense of humor and I am not afraid to reflect back what I am noticing.
