Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Rachel. Life is meant to include fun, exploration, and positive self-development, but unaddressed trauma can get in the way, leading instead to anxiety, depression, traumatic stress, and more. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an MSW and 10 years of experience, I specialize in helping teens and adults navigate these challenges. My focus is on supporting individuals dealing with complex trauma (C-PTSD) and related struggles, including addiction, family conflicts, and abuse.

My approach to therapy

My passion for helping others stems from my own challenging background with social services and related systems growing up. This personal experience drives my commitment to ensuring that teens and individuals receive the help they truly need. I believe that everyone is unique, and I adapt my treatments to fit your specific needs and interests. This might include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, art, nature-based, community based (walk and talk, coffee shop, exposure therapy, support at meetings/functions, etc. ), or spiritual practices.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your feelings and experiences. As needed, I can also facilitate communication between families, schools, and other environments that may impact your healing process. Through our work together, you can expect to experience decreased symptoms, increased confidence, and a stronger sense of self. I firmly believe that everyone has the right and ability to live a full life given the proper support and tools. While I can't take the journey for you, I can guide you and provide support through your self-discovery along the way. If you're ready to take the first step towards healing, contact me to schedule an appointment for yourself or your teen. I look forward to working with you!
