Great to meet you!

I am a Clinical Psychologist, with a PhD in this field and an MA in Trauma Studies (along with a JD and an MA in Bioethics from my prior career as a corporate attorney). I trained at Mount Sinai-Beth Israel Medical Center and several CBT outpatient clinics and psychoanalytic institutes in New York. I specialize in anxiety, mood disorders, and complex trauma, as well as relationship, family, and career issues. I work with adults across the lifespan, adolescents, and couples.

My approach to therapy

I work from an integrative, developmental, humanistic, strengths-based, trauma-informed perspective, tailoring my approach to your unique needs. I incorporate psychodynamic theory (attachment, relational) and cognitive behavioral technique (ACT, DBT), helping to equip you with the insights and skills you need to face life’s challenges with greater resilience and inspiration. I work collaboratively, prioritizing your goals, and nonjudgmentally affirming your inherent worth and personal agency.

What you can expect from me

I will listen and respond to you carefully and compassionately, bringing many years of training and experience to bear on the parts of your life and your self that you share, helping to make sense of and, where needed, heal them. I believe in growth through action and strive to help you turn what we talk about into new realities in your life. I combine process-oriented work with attention to outcome, helping you get where you want to go, while also gaining from and enjoying the journey.
