Great to meet you!

I am a dual board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of nursing experience across psychiatric care, primary care, acute and critical care, and community-based settings. My diverse clinical background allows me to approach mental health care with an understanding of the important connection between physical and emotional well-being.

I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and individualized psychiatric care in a respectful and nonjudgmental environment. I value building trusting therapeutic relationships and helping each patient feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their treatment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is patient-centered, collaborative, and evidence-based. I take time to understand each patient’s symptoms, concerns, medical and psychiatric history, life circumstances, and personal treatment goals. I believe effective mental health care begins with listening and developing a comprehensive understanding of the individual, not simply focusing on a diagnosis.

Treatment recommendations are individualized and may include psychiatric evaluation, medication management when clinically appropriate, patient education, and supportive strategies that promote long term mental and emotional wellness. I emphasize shared decision-making so that patients understand their treatment options and feel empowered to participate in their care.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my priority is to provide a comfortable, confidential, and supportive environment where you can openly discuss your concerns. We will complete a comprehensive psychiatric assessment that may include your current symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, medications, previous treatments, lifestyle factors, and personal goals for care.

We will then discuss my clinical impressions, address your questions or concerns, and develop an individualized treatment plan together. When appropriate, we will also discuss medication options, expected benefits, potential risks, and follow-up recommendations. My goal is for you to leave your first appointment feeling heard, respected, informed, and confident about the next steps in your care.
