Great to meet you!

With more than 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based care. I specialize in supporting clients with anxiety, depression, family issues, grief and loss, women’s issues, life adjustments, parenting struggles, stress management, maternal mental health concerns, ADHD, anger, panic symptoms, and chronic health-related stress.

I know that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to create a supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. I use a collaborative, client-centered approach that integrates practical coping skills with warmth and curiosity. Together, we can explore what has been difficult, identify your strengths, and work toward meaningful changes that feel realistic for your life.

My approach to therapy

Using a client-centered approach, I follow your pace and priorities, allowing sessions to be guided by your experiences, concerns, and goals. Rather than assuming I have all the answers, I use reflective listening, open-ended questions, validation, and practical support to help you gain insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Problem-Solving Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Therapy, and Behavior Modification. Depending on your needs, our work may focus on managing anxiety or depression, navigating grief, reducing stress, improving emotional regulation, strengthening coping skills, addressing parenting or family concerns, or building confidence through life transitions. My approach supports self-awareness, resilience, autonomy, and meaningful change while honoring your values, strengths, and capacity for growth.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect us to begin building rapport and getting to know one another. I may ask about your personal history, family history, current concerns, and what led you to seek therapy at this point in your life. We will also talk about what you hope to gain from counseling and what kind of support feels most helpful to you.

The first session may be more solution-focused as we begin identifying your goals and developing a treatment plan for moving forward. You can expect a warm, collaborative, and open-minded environment where your experiences are taken seriously and your voice helps guide the process. Over time, therapy can help you develop practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, manage difficult emotions, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.
