Great to meet you!

I’m Rahel Craig, MSN, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 15 years of nursing experience, including 8 years working in psychiatry. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from Spring Arbor University.

My approach to mental health care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe each person’s experiences, goals, values, and circumstances deserve to be understood before developing a treatment plan. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, and other mental health conditions.

I strive to create a comfortable, judgment-free environment where clients feel heard and respected. When appropriate, I incorporate medication management, education, lifestyle considerations, and evidence-based strategies to support long-term mental wellness.

My goal is to partner with you in your mental health journey and help you feel empowered, understood, and supported as you work toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I take a compassionate, collaborative, and holistic approach to mental health care. I believe effective treatment begins with truly listening to you and understanding your experiences, concerns, goals, and the different factors that may be affecting your mental and emotional well-being.

My focus includes medication management and support for concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, and other mental health conditions. I consider the whole person—not just symptoms or a diagnosis—and, when appropriate, incorporate evidence-based treatment alongside lifestyle factors such as sleep, nutrition, stress management, relationships, and daily routines.

I take time to explain treatment options, answer questions, and work with you to develop an individualized plan that aligns with your needs and goals. My goal is to provide a safe, culturally sensitive, respectful, and judgment-free environment where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to participate actively in your care.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable, and judgment-free environment where you feel safe sharing your story. We’ll take time to discuss what brought you to treatment, your current concerns, mental health history, goals, and factors that may be impacting your overall well-being.

Together, we’ll identify your most important priorities and discuss treatment options tailored to your individual needs. When appropriate, this may include medication management, lifestyle strategies, and other evidence-based approaches while considering the whole person.

By the end of our initial visit, I want you to have a clearer understanding of your concerns, feel heard and understood, and leave with an individualized plan and practical next steps toward your goals. I view treatment as a partnership, and we’ll continue to adjust your plan together as your needs evolve.
