Great to meet you!
I began my professional journey in the entertainment industry as an artist. As a creative, I witnessed many talented creatives struggle with addiction and emotional regulation challenges, which from one side of the road, appeared rooted in some type of trauma.
After retiring as an artist, I pursued a career in law, drawing on my experiences as an artist to navigate the complex issues people drawn to creative expression find themselves facing. This ignited a newfound desire and curiosity about spirituality which led me to theology school. That theological journey provided a deeper understanding of how modernity and science created a new world of "productivity and perfectionism" which often influenced one's worldview and self perception.
The diversity of my education and experiences allows me to view human beings in what I believe is a uniquely beautiful way. While I can appreciate accomplishments and successes, I can also recognize that sometimes the drive for achievement stems from feelings of emptiness or a deep longing.
My focus lies in exploring our developmental histories, particularly through the lens of attachment and culture. I acknowledge the prevalent, yet often unrecognized trauma inherent in our hierarchical world: shaped by factors like religion, gender, and money.
I suppose what I do is strive to help clients embrace their humanity. Fully.
Lastly, I am passionate about supporting marginalized groups and those seeking to redefine their relationship with perfectionism.
My goal is to assist clients in becoming their best selves, while finding a balance where they are neither driven by anxiety, nor constrained by depression.
I guide them in accepting and celebrating the fullness of their humanity--- while also empowering them to step into their personal power and potential.
