Great to meet you!

Are you fighting to manage anxiety, depression, profound life transitions like grief/loss, career shifts or a newly diagnosed chronic/autoimmune medical condition? Hi, I'm Raisa, an LCSW and VCU graduate, here to provide warm, humanistic, virtual-only therapy tailored to your unique story. By combining CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn’s mindfulness models (MBSR/MBCT); together, we’ll unpack your experiences, build practical mindful tools so you reclaim your peace and thrive.

I specialize in Mindful-Based CBT/DBT, adapting it to your diagnoses, in order to meet your specific needs, wants and goals. Visit my LinkedIn Profile for additional resources & articles!

You can read my published articles on LinkedIn, where I regularly write, giving you a sense of my clinical style, approach and values to determine if we may be a good fit.

My experiences, values and morals are weaved into my clinical approch and practice, making it my top priority to provide you with a strongly holistic treatment plan--to include all 4 Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual domains of life, honing your spiritual practice/discipline, if that is something you desire. This means intentionally refining, practicing, and sharpening your daily habits to connect with something larger than yourself.

Through unconditional regard and trust, I look forward to standing by you and working together to re-discover the best version of yourself!

My approach to therapy

My clinical style is warm, collaborative, and deeply humanistic, prioritizing your unique lived experience without judgment as we work in partnership. I specialize in helping individuals navigate profound life disruptions and emotional overwhelm, specifically focusing on

Anxiety & Depression: Moving past chronic worry, low mood, and mental fatigue.

Grief and Loss: Navigating the painful, complex aftermath of losing a loved one.

Occupational Transitions: Managing workplace burnout, career pivots, and professional stress.

Medical Trauma & Adjustments: Processing life, identity, and wellness shifts after significant medical conditions.

What you can expect from me

In your initial session, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and entirely pressure-free virtual space. Our main goal is simply to get comfortable talking with one another and to ensure you feel safely heard without any judgment. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, look at your current challenges, and begin exploring what healing and peace look like for you.

By the end of this initial conversation, we will have accomplished a few key outcomes:

A Clear Roadmap: A collaborative, initial plan tailored entirely to your natural pace and personal goals.

Nervous System Grounding: An introduction to simple, grounding mindfulness tools you can use immediately to manage daily overwhelm.

Next Steps: A shared understanding of how we will blend practical strategies like Mindful-based CBT and SFBT to help you move forward.
