Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Rajimol Raju, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of healthcare experience. I provide compassionate, personalized mental health care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, offering both psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy.

I support individuals experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, PTSD and trauma, OCD, bipolar and other mood disorders, insomnia, behavioral concerns, stress, burnout, and adjustment difficulties. I also help patients navigate grief and loss, relationship and family challenges, life transitions, academic or workplace stress, women’s mental health concerns, pregnancy and postpartum challenges, and emotional difficulties related to chronic medical conditions.

My approach is warm, collaborative, evidence-based, and judgment-free. I believe you deserve a provider who truly listens and takes time to understand you as a whole person, not simply a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. Together, we will explore your concerns, strengths, challenges, and goals to create a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.

Treatment may include medication management, psychotherapy, supportive counseling, coping strategies, psychoeducation, and lifestyle recommendations. When medication is appropriate, I carefully monitor your response, progress, and potential side effects while involving you in treatment decisions.

Whether you are seeking mental health care for the first time, returning to treatment, or looking for a provider who will listen and work alongside you, you are welcome here. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to improve your mood, focus, sleep, relationships, daily functioning, and overall well-being.

You don’t have to navigate your mental health journey alone. I look forward to supporting you in taking the next step toward feeling your best.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe mental health treatment works best when you feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing what you are experiencing. I take time to understand not only your symptoms, but also your personal history, daily life, relationships, strengths, challenges, and goals.

I provide both psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy, allowing us to address mental health concerns from multiple perspectives. When medication is appropriate, we will discuss options together, including potential benefits, side effects, and alternatives, so you can feel informed and involved in your treatment decisions. Psychotherapy and supportive counseling may focus on coping skills, emotional regulation, stress management, relationships, behavioral changes, and strategies to improve daily functioning.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health care. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free environment and develop an evidence-based treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. We will regularly assess your progress and make thoughtful adjustments as needed to help you move toward greater stability, confidence, and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and understand what brought you to care. I will take time to listen to your concerns, symptoms, personal and medical history, current medications, daily challenges, relationships, and treatment goals. We may also discuss sleep, mood, anxiety, attention, stressors, and other factors that may be affecting your well-being.

I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing at your own pace. Together, we will discuss your treatment options and develop an individualized plan that may include medication management, psychotherapy, supportive counseling, coping strategies, or a combination of approaches based on your needs and preferences.

My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and clear about the next steps in your care. Mental health treatment is a partnership, and we will work together toward meaningful, realistic goals that support your overall well-being.
