Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Rakinzie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am ready to serve as your partner on the journey toward restored health, stability, and personal growth. My professional background has given me the opportunity to support Active-Duty Soldiers, Veterans, adults, and seniors through many different seasons of life. I have worked in military services, substance use treatment, long-term care, women’s health, managed care, and crisis management, including with clients navigating chronic health conditions and co-occurring mental health concerns. I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, stress, substance use concerns, life transitions, grief, aging-related challenges, women’s issues, and the emotional impact of major life or health changes. Across every population I serve, I bring hope, honesty, compassion, and humor to help build connection and create positive outcomes.

My approach to therapy

My approach is strengths-based, collaborative, hopeful, and action-oriented. I believe every client brings lived experience, resilience, and past successes that can become the foundation for future change. In session, we may explore the challenges you are facing, identify barriers that have made progress difficult, and use your strengths, values, faith, coping skills, and support systems to create realistic next steps. I work with clients to address anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, substance use, stress, chronic illness, military-related concerns, women’s health concerns, and life transitions in a way that feels practical and personal. My style is warm, honest, encouraging, and grounded. I will challenge barriers to change while also celebrating both small and big wins along the way.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for me to get to know you, understand your needs, and begin building a strong partnership for the work ahead. I use a conversational style to learn what brings you to therapy, what has been making life more difficult, and what kind of support would feel most helpful. We may talk about anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, substance use concerns, chronic health conditions, military or veteran experiences, women’s issues, stress, grief, life transitions, or symptoms that have been affecting your daily life. My goal is to assess your needs with care, identify your strengths, and work with you to determine the best next steps. I want you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and hopeful that change is possible.
