Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Issues, Stress, and Trauma

Great to meet you!

My clinical training & experience has focused on the treatment of issues related to depression, anxiety, work-related stress, career counseling, communication skills, chronic medical conditions, pain management, PTSD, substance abuse, & other addictive behaviors.

I have worked in various multicultural settings and client populations, including adults, senior citizens, medical sites (hospitals, nursing homes, rehab facilities), LGBTQ+, substance abuse clinics, etc.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is eclectic and variable, depending on client needs. I have acquired training in a variety of approaches, including CBT, ACT, Psychodynamic Therapy, Reality Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, DBT, Jungian Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy.

I do a lot of listening during sessions but also give responsive feedback to provide immediate benefit for the client, especially during a crisis situation or when familial stressors and work-related time limits are involved.

What you can expect from our first session

During the first session or two, a client can expect that I will gather a lot of information, including a psych history, to accurately assess client needs and develop a realistic, mutually agreeable treatment plan. During ongoing sessions, as we move forward with the treatment plan, I will also include time to discuss any new client concerns. Periodically, I will also do a client check-in regarding satisfaction with the pace of goal achievement or if a course correction is needed.
