Great to meet you!

I believe therapy is most effective when it comes from both professional training and real-life experience. In addition to studying psychology, philosophy, theology, and the arts, I believe therapists should live fully and use what they’ve learned to help others grow into their fullest selves. I have a Master of Social Work from Fordham, an Advanced Clinical Certificate from NYU, and more than four decades of experience helping people. I’ve also supervised graduate students and staff, and I’m a Fellow with the New York State Society for Clinical Social Work.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in helping clients better understand and manage their emotions while building a stronger relationship with themselves. I use breathing exercises, mindfulness meditation, positive affirmations, and group-based techniques to support clients working through anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, and recovery. Together, we work on identifying negative patterns, releasing what no longer serves you, and creating healthier ways of coping, relating, and moving forward.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, you can expect support, practical tools, and a focus on meaningful personal growth. Clients often learn how to invest in themselves, improve self-esteem, let go of painful patterns from the past, set healthy boundaries with toxic people, strengthen important relationships, and focus more clearly on their goals. My hope is that therapy helps you feel more empowered, more grounded, and better able to lead a fulfilling life.
