With more than 40 years of experience in mental health counseling, I've sat with people through nearly every kind of struggle — depression and grief, anxiety and anger, relationship breakdown, substance use, trauma, and the quiet weight of low self-worth. There isn't much I haven't seen, and that depth of experience shapes how I work: with steadiness, perspective, and without judgment.

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, licensed here since 1994, and I've worked across community mental health, substance abuse programs, foster care, correctional settings, and private practice. I work with adults and seniors

My approach draws primarily on cognitive-behavioral therapy, along with reality therapy and other approaches depending on what fits best for each person. I've been doing this long enough to know that the right technique is the one that actually helps you, and I adapt accordingly.

In the first session, I'll want to understand what brought you here and what you're hoping for from therapy. We'll start to get a sense of your goals and how we might work together. After four decades in this field, I've found that the most important thing isn't the approach — it's whether you feel like you can be honest in the room. That's what we're working toward from the start.
