Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with much of my experience coming from working with young adults facing complex mental health, relationship, family, and life challenges. I enjoy working with people who want to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that may be keeping them stuck. I try to bring a culturally aware and holistic perspective to therapy and to understand each person within the larger context of their experiences, relationships, family, and environment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is direct, curious, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I don’t believe one therapeutic approach works for everyone, so I draw from different perspectives and interventions depending on the person in front of me. I tend to be insight-oriented and interested in the deeper patterns underneath what someone is experiencing, while also keeping therapy practical and focused on creating meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I’ll want to get to know you and understand what brought you to therapy, what has been going on in your life, and what you would like to get out of our work together. I’ll ask questions, but I also want you to have room to tell your story in your own way. You don’t need to come in knowing exactly what is wrong or what you want to work on. We can figure that out together and begin identifying what would make therapy genuinely useful for you.
