Hello! I am Ramon Pacheco, a licensed, queer non-binary, mental health therapist that has been practicing therapy for the past six years. I graduated from California State University Fullerton with my B.A. in psychology with a minor in queer studies and my masters of science in clinical mental health. I have a plethora of experience working with diverse populations and am passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals.
I work from a collaborative, person-centered approach where warmth, kindness, and a non-judgmental way of being underpin all of my work. Additionally, I use my training in various evidence based treatment modalities to help my clients build on their strengths and foster long lasting change. I achieve this by identifying and targeting detrimental thoughts, behaviors, and patterns that keep you feeling stuck.
Every session with me is structured in a way to address and work towards making progress on your treatment goals. My hope for all my clients is for them to strengthen their inner resources and gain the tools to help themselves. Therefore, clients can expect me to gently challenge them (always in a kind and beneficial way if necessary), collaborate on behavioral actions in-between sessions, and deeply reflect on how they can translate what they learn in session and apply it to their life outside of treatment.
