Great to meet you!

Growing up in Miami, Florida, I was shaped by a rich mix of cultures and an appreciation for the many ways people experience life. I’ve spent most of my career in education - from working as a high school guidance counselor to becoming a small business owner, mostly in Tallahassee, where I have deep ties to the community. I’m welcoming, nonjudgmental, and a good listener, and I believe people do their best when they feel safe enough to be honest about what’s really going on. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship issues, self-esteem concerns, and emotional overwhelm. I’m both patient and goal-oriented, and I care deeply about helping people make progress. My sense of humor is a bit of a secret weapon - I believe therapy can be meaningful, supportive, and still feel human.

My approach to therapy

My approach is flexible, collaborative, and centered on the needs of the person in front of me. I work to gather a full understanding of what is bringing you in, whether that includes anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship issues, life changes, burnout, grief, or feeling stuck. From there, we build a partnership focused on problem-solving, self-understanding, and creating a clearer picture of what progress looks like for you. I believe therapy should help you make sense of your experiences, identify patterns that may be getting in the way, and build practical tools to cope more effectively. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered as we work toward meaningful growth and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, my hope is that you begin to feel a sense of relief, safety, and hope. We’ll spend time getting to know what has been weighing on you, whether that’s anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, or emotional overwhelm, and start identifying what kind of support would feel most helpful. I want the first session to feel like the beginning of a strong therapeutic relationship - one where you feel comfortable being yourself and confident that we can work together toward specific, meaningful progress. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and a little more hopeful about what comes next.
