Great to meet you!

You may find yourself carrying a lot in your relationships while also trying to understand what you need for yourself. Relationship difficulties can leave you feeling disconnected, frustrated, or unsure of how to communicate what you need, while expectations around being a woman, family, identity, or major life changes can add another layer to what you are experiencing. I work with seniors and adults experiencing relationship issues and women’s issues, along with anxiety, ADHD, depression, family concerns, LGBTQIA+ concerns, stress management, end-of-life concerns, grief and loss, infidelity, and chronic health conditions. These experiences can often intersect in ways that make it difficult to know where to begin. Therapy can give you a space to slow down, understand what you are feeling, and explore the patterns that may be affecting how you relate to yourself and the people around you. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, stronger relationships, and a deeper sense of confidence in who you are and what you need.

My approach to therapy

Our work will make room for both the person you are and the relationships, identity, responsibilities, and experiences that have shaped you. We’ll explore how relationship issues and women’s issues may be affecting your emotional wellbeing while also making space for concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, depression, family difficulties, identity, stress, grief, or major life transitions when they are connected to what brings you to therapy. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize patterns in thoughts and behaviors that contribute to distress, Attachment Based approaches to better understand relationship patterns and develop healthier ways of connecting, and Internal Family Systems to approach different parts of yourself with greater curiosity and compassion. Motivational Interviewing can help you explore change without pressure, Trauma Focused CBT can support you in processing difficult experiences while building coping skills, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy can help identify strengths and practical steps toward the changes you want to make. Our sessions will be collaborative, supportive, and grounded in your individual experiences, giving you space to understand yourself more deeply while also developing tools that can help you feel more confident navigating your relationships and your life.

What you can expect from me

You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. During our first few sessions, we will take time to understand what brought you in, what has been weighing on you, and what you would most like to feel different. Together, we will identify goals that feel meaningful and realistic and decide where it makes the most sense to begin. You can expect me to listen with warmth and curiosity, create space for honest conversations, and meet you without judgment. Progress may look like communicating more openly in your relationships, developing healthier boundaries, feeling more confident in your identity and needs, managing anxiety or stress more effectively, working through grief or difficult life changes, or simply having a better understanding of yourself and the patterns that shape your relationships. We will continue checking in on your goals and adjust our work as your needs evolve.
