Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping high-achieving women navigate anxiety, depression, burnout, emotional overwhelm, and relationship stress. I specialize in working with Black women and women of color who often feel pressure to “hold it all together” while privately struggling with stress, overthinking, exhaustion, and difficulty setting boundaries.

My professional background includes working with individuals experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, workplace stress, emotional regulation challenges, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and relationship difficulties. I provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed care that acknowledges the unique pressures many women experience personally, professionally, and within family systems.

I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work and have experience supporting clients through structured, goal-oriented therapy that focuses on practical tools and emotional healing. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative while also helping clients develop actionable strategies for lasting change.

I believe therapy should be a space where you can be honest, feel emotionally safe, and learn how to move from survival mode to emotional stability and confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is structured, compassionate, and culturally responsive. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based interventions, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and stress responses.

I work with clients to:

  • Identify emotional triggers and unhealthy patterns
  • Reduce anxiety and overthinking
  • Improve emotional regulation
  • Build healthier boundaries and communication skills
  • Develop practical coping strategies for everyday life

I also integrate nervous system regulation techniques to help clients manage stress physically and emotionally, especially for women experiencing burnout, workplace stress, or chronic emotional overwhelm.

Therapy with me is not just about venting — it’s about gaining insight, learning tools, and creating meaningful changes that improve your overall quality of life.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a supportive and collaborative conversation focused on understanding your story, current challenges, and goals for therapy. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and not judged.

During the first session, we will discuss:

  • What brought you to therapy
  • Current symptoms and stressors
  • Relationship, work, family, or life concerns
  • Your mental health history
  • Coping patterns and emotional triggers
  • Goals you would like to work toward in therapy

I may also ask questions about sleep, stress levels, support systems, and how your symptoms are impacting your daily functioning.

Clients often leave the first session feeling relieved, validated, and more hopeful because they have a clearer understanding of what may be contributing to their stress and how therapy can help. Together, we will create a plan tailored to your specific needs and goals.
