Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, families, and veterans through a wide range of life challenges. Much of my career has been dedicated to working with military service members and their families, and as a Marine Corps veteran myself, I bring a deep understanding of the unique stressors that can come with service, transition, and reintegration into civilian life.

I have experience working with concerns such as trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use and dual diagnosis, anger and stress management, family conflict, parenting challenges, and major life transitions. I’ve worked in a variety of settings including veteran services, community mental health, family advocacy programs, and substance use treatment, which allows me to meet clients where they are with flexibility and understanding.

My goal is to provide a supportive, respectful space where you feel heard and understood, while also helping you develop practical tools to move forward in your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each individual’s needs. I believe that therapy works best when it feels like a partnership—where you feel safe to share openly and also supported in making meaningful changes.

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, focusing on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and improving communication and relationships. I often incorporate strategies for managing stress and emotions, working through past experiences, and addressing patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

I also take a strengths-based perspective, helping you recognize and build on your existing resilience while developing new tools to navigate challenges more effectively. Whether we are working through trauma, relationship concerns, or life transitions, my focus is on helping you create lasting, practical change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will take time to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your current concerns, your history, and what you would like to get out of the process.

My goal is for you to feel comfortable, heard, and respected from the very beginning. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we will move at a pace that feels right for you.

We will also begin to identify your goals for therapy and discuss how we can work together to support those goals. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer sense of next steps and how therapy can help you move forward.
