Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Ranita, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. I am passionate about helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges and find healing, balance, and growth.

I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including schools, private practice, group homes, and alongside a nurse practitioner. This diverse background allows me to understand the unique needs of clients in different environments and provide well-rounded, collaborative care.

I’m EMDR-trained and use a mix of approaches depending on what works best for you, including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and other trauma-informed techniques. My goal is to help you make sense of what you’ve been through, manage overwhelming thoughts or emotions, and build coping skills that actually work in your day-to-day life.

I know starting therapy isn’t always easy, so I try to create a space where you can be yourself without feeling judged. We’ll go at your pace, and I’ll support you as you work toward feeling more in control and more like yourself again.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each individual. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach, so I meet clients where they are and adjust my style based on their needs and goals.

I use evidence-based techniques such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR to help clients process trauma, manage anxiety, and improve emotional regulation. I focus on helping clients understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while building practical coping skills they can use in everyday life.

My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and working toward meaningful change at their own pace.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what you’d like to work on.

There’s no pressure to share everything right away—I’ll meet you where you are. My goal is to make sure you feel comfortable, supported, and understood from the start.
