Great to meet you!

Spots Are Open ~ Let’s Talk!

Workaholic by choice, dog mama by heart. Seven days a week, fueled by hustle, humor, and Pitbull cuddles. Yes, I chose this life. No, I still do not understand why.

After an exhaustive summit with my coffee machine and several judgmental looks from my Pitbull, I’ve decided to grace my schedule with a few fresh faces. If you think you can handle the energy, email me directly. We’ll discuss availability, clinical fit, and whether our vibes actually align.

All appointments require my personal “seal of approval” to ensure we’re a clinical match, that I’m licensed in your state, and that your insurance plays nice. Book without confirmation and it turns out we aren’t a fit? There may be an administrative fee.

I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts and New York with over twenty-five years of clinical experience. I don’t just do “talk therapy” — I dive into the deep end: depression, bipolar, psychotic disorders, PTSD, DID, ADHD, OCD, anxiety, autism spectrum, PANDAS, tic disorders, and Tourette syndrome.

I share my world with a blind Pitbull — the living embodiment of resilience, navigating a world he can’t see with more confidence than most people have after three espressos. He’s the heart behind the hustle.

I accept insurance through Headway, which verifies benefits and processes copays automatically. Private pay and sliding scale options also available.

Pro-Tip: Confused by your insurance card? Call the number on the back. Those lovely humans are literally paid to explain your coverage.

The “No-Fly” Zone: 7:00 AM sessions are off the menu. My brain requires a caffeinated re-entry into the atmosphere before I can help you navigate yours.

My approach to therapy

The Misfit Method

Neuro-Affirming Trauma Care: East Coast Flair.

Licensed in MA & NY.

The Misfit Method rejects the one-size-fits-all clinical mold because your brain isn’t a factory setting. I embrace structured healing for the thinkers, the over-feelers, and those living outside the lines.

Neuro-Affirming Care ~ You aren’t malfunctioning, your processing system is overwhelmed. I am EMDR Trained (EMDRIA) and utilize EMDR, TF-CBT, CBT, Polyvagal Theory, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. The Misfit Method adapts evidence-based protocols to honor your neurotype ~ adjusting for light, sound, and processing speed so healing feels safe, not overstimulating.

Specialist for the Outliers.

Trauma recovery for brains that think in high-definition. Complex, high-acuity presentations including depression, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, PTSD, DID, and ~ ADHD, OCD, Autism, PANDAS, Tics and Tourette syndrome.

Nutritional Psychology.

Your biology and biography are intertwined. My lens incorporates the gut-brain axis while remaining mindful of food insecurity.

Immigrant Communities.

The Misfit Method is a reclamation of power ~ it’s not that we don’t fit, the mold was too small for our resilience and complexity. The Misfit label resonates with living between two worlds. EMDR is excellent for processing the stored trauma of displacement without needing a million words to explain it. I work extensively with immigrant communities, ensuring therapy is accessible, relevant, and linguistically respectful.

Come As You Are.

No pretense. Bring your quirks, questions, and your sass. I’ll meet you exactly where you are.

What you can expect from me

Picture this: you walk into our first session, and instead of a cold clinical stare, you’re greeted with a calm space where you can actually exhale. You talk ~ I listen like it’s my Olympic sport (gold medalist in active listening, thank you very much). My vibe? Open-minded, culturally aware, and judgment-free ~ because the only thing I judge is pineapple on pizza (and even then, I keep it to myself).

You bring your story; I bring curiosity, compassion, and a notebook that absolutely does not contain any dramatic side notes about you—unless “fascinating human” counts as drama. We’ll dig into what’s going on for you, what you want out of therapy, and how we can make this process fit your real life ~ not some textbook fantasy where everyone journals daily and drinks green smoothies.

And because transparency is my middle name (not legally, but maybe one day), I’ll share where I’m coming from: my education, clinical background, and therapeutic approach are all fair game for your questions. Want to know how my brain works or why I ask the questions I do? Ask away!

Logistics & Intake Flow

The first session also doubles as an intake. We’ll review your background, current stressors (yes, even that one), goals for therapy, and practical stuff like scheduling and pacing. But don’t worry: this is a collaborative conversation, not an interrogation under a spotlight. The goal? Clarity about what you need, whether we’re a good fit (spoiler: if you appreciate wit with your wisdom, probably yes), and how therapy can realistically support you moving forward.

By the end of our first meeting, expect to leave with more clarity ~ and possibly a newfound appreciation for therapists who believe humor belongs in healing. And if nothing else? You’ll know my notebook is strictly business (with just a dash of sass).
