Great to meet you!

Howdy, my name is Raquel but people call me Rocky. At Rocky Road Therapy, many of the clients I work with feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in survival mode, disconnected from themselves, or exhausted from carrying so much on their own. I work with adults, couples, veterans, and teens navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, attachment styles and wounds, burnout, substance use recovery or misuse, grief, shame and guilt, identity loss, emotional dysregulation, inner child work and major life transitions. I also have a special interest in supporting mothers and stepmothers who may feel emotionally drained, lost in their roles, or struggling to balance the needs of everyone around them while neglecting themselves.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor with 5+ years of experience helping adults and teens navigate anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship challenges, substance use, and life transitions. I provide direct but warm, trauma-informed virtual therapy throughout Florida and have experience in experiential and equine-assisted settings.

Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and supportive. I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable showing up as themselves without fear of judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. You do not have to navigate everything alone, and healing does not have to begin perfectly to begin at all.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free space where they can begin sharing at their own pace. During our first session, we’ll explore what brings you to therapy, the challenges you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from the process. I also believe it’s important for therapy to feel comfortable and collaborative, so we’ll spend time getting to know each other and building a connection that feels safe and genuine. My approach is warm, honest, and grounded, and I strive to create an environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported while working toward meaningful growth and healing. This is a space where you're viewed as a human.
