Great to meet you!

Hi there, I'm so glad you're here! Starting therapy can feel daunting, and I understand how difficult it can be to ask for help. Whether you're dealing with stress, depression, family conflicts, loss, relationship issues, anxiety, or past traumas, I would be honored to work alongside you on your journey towards growth, healing, and wholeness. I've worked in various counseling and social work settings over the past 10+ years. I enjoy working with kids, teens, and young adults struggling with peer and relationship issues, anger, boundaries, mood disorders, trauma history, and family difficulties.

My approach to therapy

My first goal is to make you feel heard, understood without judgment, and truly cared for. I provide a safe space where you can be vulnerable as we identify unhelpful thought patterns arising from and contributing to difficult emotions, exploring how these become rooted in faulty belief systems formed over time. I incorporate body-based work to understand how our brains and bodies affect mental health. The spiritual dimension is also important to me, as I believe that therapy is most effective when God is invited to be a part of the healing process, but I am happy to meet clients where they are regardless of faith background.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will discuss the issues that bring you to therapy and go over your background together broadly, leaving room to go more in depth in future sessions. I will ask you questions about your family, any trauma you may have experienced, your strengths and interests, and any previous experiences you may have had in mental health treatment. Once we have covered your background we will discuss your goals to ensure we begin working towards the things that are most important to you in this process.
