I have been providing direct care to individuals 18 years and older for 22 years. I earned my Master of Social Work from Hunter School of Social Work. I have experience working with individuals with experiencing issues related to anxiety, depression, mid-life transitions, trauma, chronic health conditions, family conflicts and stress management. I find it rewarding to be a part of a person's therapy journey and to be a catalyst to positive change in their lives.
I provide a space where the client can express their feelings and thoughts without any judgement. I customize the approach according to the needs of the client. We will work together to address the issues that prompted the need for therapy and we will view mistakes not as a failure but as an opportunity to learn. My approach to therapy is not to lecture or "tell" the client about next steps in their life. The therapeutic relationship is a collaborative effort and my role is to support, guide and empower the client.
Clients can expect to feel empowered and capable of implementing change into their lives. The client is the expert of their lives and they will utilize the tools from our sessions as they see fit.
