Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Raquel (she/her), and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My clinical work focuses on grief, trauma, and life transitions, with a particular emphasis on perinatal mental health and supporting solo and single parents, including single parents by choice. I am deeply committed to increasing visibility and access to mental health care within BIPOC communities and I strive to provide a culturally responsive, inclusive, and affirming space for healing.

My approach to therapy

As a therapist, I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can safely explore challenges and the emotions that accompany them. My therapeutic approach integrates traditional talk therapy with body-based practices such as mindfulness and breath work. I tailor each session to meet your unique needs and goals and together, we will identify your strengths, explore areas of guilt or shame, and build a path forward — step by step — grounded in collaboration, curiosity, trust, and understanding.

What you can expect from me

I invite you to come in and settle into a space that is warm, safe, and fully yours. We’ll begin by getting to know each other and exploring what brought you in, as we begin to build a therapeutic relationship. My goal is to meet you where you are, creating an environment where you can exhale, show up authentically, and feel supported in your process.
