Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Raquel! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, and major life changes. I've also worked with military members and veterans, supporting them through the unique challenges that can come with service, transitions, relationships, and difficult experiences.

I understand how important it is to feel genuinely heard and comfortable with your therapist. My style is compassionate, down-to-earth, and supportive, with a focus on helping you better understand what you're going through, recognize your strengths, and find a healthier way forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to your individual needs. I take time to understand your experiences and goals so we can focus on what matters most to you.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), trauma-focused approaches, and Motivational Interviewing to help you work through difficult emotions, recognize unhelpful patterns, and develop strategies for everyday life. I'll offer encouragement and honest feedback while helping you build confidence in your ability to make meaningful changes.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other, talk about what's bringing you to therapy, and explore what you'd like to work toward. You don't need to have everything figured out before we begin.

You can expect a warm, welcoming conversation where I'll listen without judgment, ask thoughtful questions, and work with you to identify realistic next steps. My goal is for you to feel understood, supported, and comfortable moving forward at your own pace.
