Great to meet you!

I am a compassionate, client-centered therapist who believes meaningful change begins with feeling heard, understood, and supported. Throughout my career, I have been committed to creating a safe, collaborative environment where individuals and families can navigate life's challenges, build resilience, and achieve lasting growth. My approach combines evidence-based practices with genuine empathy, allowing me to meet each client where they are while tailoring treatment to their unique strengths and needs.

In addition to my clinical work, I serve as the Family Relations Department Supervisor and Parenting Plan Evaluator for the 13th Judicial District. In this role, I lead a team of evaluators, mentor developing professionals, and work closely with judges, attorneys, and multidisciplinary teams to provide thoughtful, child-focused recommendations that help families move forward during difficult transitions. I am passionate about ensuring that every evaluation is thorough, objective, and centered on the best interests of children.

My professional journey has included private practice, school-based counseling, addiction treatment, and child and family services, giving me a broad perspective on the challenges people face across the lifespan. I value lifelong learning and continually seek opportunities to expand my knowledge, including completing more than 300 hours of specialized training in parenting plan evaluations and currently pursuing a PhD in Philosophy of Psychology.

Whether I am sitting with a therapy client, supervising a team, or assisting the court, my goal remains the same: to provide compassionate guidance, uphold the highest ethical standards, and empower people to make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual's unique needs. I believe that healing and growth begin in a space where people feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard. My role is not to tell clients what to do, but to work alongside them as they gain insight, develop new skills, and move toward the life they want to create.

I integrate evidence-based approaches with a person-centered perspective, recognizing that no two people or families have the same experiences. Together, we identify strengths, explore patterns that may no longer be serving them, and develop practical strategies to navigate life's challenges. I value honesty, curiosity, and authenticity in the therapeutic relationship, and I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you feel heard and respected. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, and I strive to make the process as welcoming and collaborative as possible.

During our first meeting, we'll talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to achieve. I'll ask questions about your personal history, relationships, strengths, and any factors that may be impacting your well-being so I can better understand your unique experiences. You're welcome to share at your own pace—there's no expectation to tell your entire story in one session.

We'll also discuss what therapy with me looks like, answer any questions you have, and begin identifying goals that are meaningful to you. By the end of the session, my hope is that you'll leave feeling supported, with a clearer understanding of how we can work together and confidence that you have a partner in your journey toward growth and healing.
