Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Rashada Smith, a Licensed Professional Counselor and U.S. Army Reservist based in Alabama. I have experience working with children, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. My background in community mental health and military service has shaped my calm, grounded, and compassionate approach. I use evidence-based and creative methods to help clients build resilience, emotional awareness, and confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I blend CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and play therapy techniques to help clients understand their emotions, improve communication, and create meaningful change. I believe in empowering clients to connect with their strengths awhile developing tools to manage stress, heal from past experiences, and live with greater purpose and balance.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where they are encouraged to share their story at their own pace. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, clarify your goals, and begin identifying strengths and strategies to support your well-being. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
