Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Raven Mims and I have a general practice focusing on clients with life’s adjustments, marriage and family issues, conditions unique to childhood and adolescents, coping with disabilities, trauma recovery, crisis intervention, stress management, and conflict resolution. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Woman’s University in 2021 and I have also completed training in EMDR and Child-Centered Play Therapy.

My approach to therapy

I approach counseling from a CBT perspective, however, I integrate theoretical approaches (including solution-focused, strengths-based and biblical principles), to better understand aspects of the clients’ problems. I serve clients from age 5 through adulthood regardless of their race, national origin, color, creed, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or associational preference. I work with clients in a variety of formats (individual, group, couples, families).

What you can expect from me

I provide Mental Health Counseling/Psychotherapy Services which includes psycho-education, prevention, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of behavioral, emotional, and mental disorders to individuals, groups, families, and organizations. I employ principles, methods, and procedures that are delivered in a nonjudgmental, compassionate, confidential, and safe space (in-person or teletherapy).
