Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience providing psychotherapy and behavioral health consultation in inpatient medical, psychiatric, and consult-liaison settings. I have worked with adolescents, adults, and older adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, chronic illness, and life transitions.

I recognize that each person brings a unique set of experiences, strengths, and challenges into therapy. My role is not to assume what will be most helpful, but to understand what has brought you here, what matters most to you, and how we can work together in a way that feels meaningful and relevant to your life.

My approach to therapy

I view therapy as a collaborative process that balances understanding with action.

Together, we work to better understand your experiences, recognize patterns that may be influencing how you're feeling or responding, and explore different ways of approaching the challenges you're facing. Sometimes that involves reflection. Other times it may involve learning or practicing new skills, experimenting with different perspectives, or applying what we're discussing to situations in your daily life.

I draw from a range of evidence-informed approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness-based approaches, strengths-based therapy, and other relational and skill-based interventions. Rather than following a single model, I tailor therapy to your goals, your preferences, and what seems most helpful as our work together evolves.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is an important part of the process. Feeling safe enough to be honest, ask questions, try new approaches, and even acknowledge when something isn't working creates opportunities for meaningful growth.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and develop a shared understanding of what brings you to therapy.

We'll spend time exploring what's been going on, what feels most important to you, and what you're hoping to gain from therapy. There is no expectation to have everything figured out or to tell your entire story during our first meeting. We'll begin where you are and move at a pace that feels comfortable.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of how I work. I encourage questions, feedback, and open communication so we can determine together what approach feels like the best fit for your needs and goals.
