Great to meet you!

I am Raynolda C. Hamilton, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and proud veteran. My journey into mental health care is deeply rooted in service, compassion, and a commitment to helping others reclaim stability and hope.

I specialize in treating ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, and veterans navigating life transitions. I work with adolescents and adults who may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but struggling internally.

My background in nursing, psychiatry, and military service has shaped my ability to remain calm in crisis, attentive to detail, and deeply respectful of each person’s story. I believe mental health treatment should feel collaborative, not intimidating. My role is to guide, educate, and support—not judge.

I am honored to serve individuals who are ready to take meaningful steps toward emotional wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and collaborative. I combine thorough psychiatric evaluation with thoughtful medication management when appropriate, while also integrating therapeutic techniques into each visit.

I believe medication is a tool, not the whole treatment plan. I emphasize education, lifestyle factors, coping strategies, and empowerment. I use structured assessments when needed, but I also listen closely to your lived experience.

My style is calm, direct, and supportive. I value honesty and transparency. Together, we will discuss options, risks, benefits, and create a treatment plan tailored to your goals.

For clients with ADHD, I focus on clarity, executive functioning support, and improving daily performance. For anxiety and mood disorders, I work toward emotional regulation, stability, and long-term resilience.

You are not just a diagnosis, you are a whole person.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a safe, structured, and judgment-free space.

We will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, but more importantly, I will listen to your story. We will explore what brought you in, your current symptoms, past treatment experiences, medical history, and your personal goals.

By the end of the session, you can expect: A clearer understanding of what may be contributing to your symptoms. A preliminary diagnosis (if appropriate). A collaborative treatment plan. Education about medication options if indicated

My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful, not overwhelmed. Because mental health care is not about labeling you. It is about equipping you.
