Great to meet you!

I became a therapist because I wanted to show up for people in the moments that matter most — and I mean that literally. My background spans emergency services, inpatient psychiatry, residential programs, and outpatient care. I've sat with people at their lowest points, and that experience has made me both more steady and more realistic about what people actually need.

I work with adults on anxiety, depression, trauma, panic, and anger. I also offer couples therapy. As a Black male therapist in Central Massachusetts, I bring lived experience and cultural awareness to the work — especially for clients who've struggled to find someone who can hold both the clinical and the human sides of what they're going through.

I'm an LICSW — Massachusetts' highest independent social work license — trained at Salem State University.

My approach to therapy

My approach starts with understanding you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. I use ACT to help you develop psychological flexibility — building a different relationship with difficult thoughts and feelings rather than fighting them. Behavioral Activation addresses the cycles of withdrawal and avoidance that often accompany depression, with practical action steps that rebuild momentum. Trauma-Focused CBT addresses specific trauma responses that still affect how you function today.

Narrative Therapy helps you examine the stories you've been telling about yourself and your life — and decide which ones you want to rewrite. Solution-Focused approaches keep us oriented toward where you want to go, not just what you're moving away from. For couples, I use a Solution-Focused Couples Therapy framework to address communication patterns and build a stronger foundation.

Everything is tailored to you. Empowering clients to move forward is the core of everything I do.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about getting to know each other. I'll ask what's brought you here, what's been going on, and what you're hoping changes. There's no pressure to have it all organized before you walk in.

By the end, we'll have a clearer sense of your goals and how we'll work together. I understand the unique qualities each individual brings — and I'll meet you exactly where you are.
