My name is Dr. Reaver D Nelson, DSW, MSW, LISW-S. I have worked in the field of social services and as a licensed social worker for more than 35 years with a background in mental health, substance abuse and recovery, child welfare, family systems, and working with veteran populations. I received my Doctor of Social Work degree from Simmons University, and a Master of Social Work from Cleveland State University. I am in the final stages of completing my certification for Sports Social Work with a concentration on the needs and experiences of female athletes.

My approach to working with clients is highly collaborative and centers the person and impact of the environment and how it hinders or contributes to their recovery. I am in the final stages of completing my certification for Sports Social Work with a concentration on the needs and experiences of female athletes.
