Great to meet you!

I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, trauma, and bereavement. I have experience supporting both children and adults as they process trauma, build coping skills, and work toward healing in a safe and supportive environment.

In addition to trauma-focused work, I have experience within the educational system and can assist clients and families in navigating educational and school-related needs. I also completed an internship within the dependency system as a Guardian ad Litem and previously worked as a Domestic Violence Child Welfare Advocate, collaborating closely with the Department of Children and Families (DCF).

One of my strengths as a therapist is my ability to connect with clients through both professional training and personal understanding of overcoming life’s challenges. My own experiences with healing and growth allow me to approach clients with empathy, authenticity, and compassion. I understand that healing is not one-size-fits-all, and I am committed to supporting clients at their own pace as they work toward growth, resilience, and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I strive to create a comfortable environment where clients feel safe, heard, and supported. I meet clients where they are and tailor treatment to their individual needs and goals. My therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and client-centered techniques.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my goal is to get to know you and begin building a comfortable and supportive therapeutic relationship. In addition to reviewing confidentiality and discussing any expectations or questions you may have, I will ask background questions about your personal history, relationships, work, and significant life experiences.

We will also discuss any emotional or behavioral symptoms you may be experiencing, as well as the goals you hope to work toward throughout therapy.

Please know that you are never required to share more than you feel comfortable sharing. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and understood.

The first few sessions are not about solving everything immediately, but rather about building trust, gaining understanding, and creating a plan for moving forward together.
