Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Rebecca, but you can call me Bee. Thank you for considering me as a counselor for your mental health journey. With a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Edward's University and a Master's in Clinical Psychology from the University of Phoenix, I have had the opportunity to work in many different settings with many different client populations. Some of these include: youth, adults, various backgrounds and cultures, life transitions, family dynamics, relationships, trauma, substance use, disordered eating, depression, anxiety, body dysmorphia, mood and personality disorders, behavioral concerns, and emotion dysregulation. I bring a dynamic and eclectic approach to therapy using research-based techniques and applying creativity and flexibility to support my clients.

My approach to therapy

I view therapy as a relationship that is nonjudgmental and collaborative, built on empathy and unconditional positive regard. It is my belief that change happens in many ways, and there is no "right" or "wrong" way to heal. Instead, I consider it as "effective" and "ineffective" ways to achieve a goal. Maintaining a person-centered approach, I allow my clients to be the expert of their lives while offering a safe space to explore all emotions and thoughts, room to reflect on beliefs and patterns, solution focused support, and what I like to call "carefrontation", or the act of challenging in a compassionate way.

What you can expect from me

Together, we will develop a treatment plan that is individualized and tailored to your specific needs and goals. My objective as your counselor is to empower you to overcome challenges and achieve lasting mental health and wellness. Regardless of the circumstances that brought you to counseling, I am committed to supporting you on your quest to achieve your dreams.
