Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with nearly two decades of experience supporting children, teens, adults, families, and helping professionals through some of life’s most difficult and overwhelming seasons. I believe therapy is a collaborative process—one where you can feel heard, understood, and supported while developing the tools and insight you need to move forward.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from the University of Wyoming in 2005, followed by a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver in 2007, with a concentration in High Risk Youth. During my graduate studies, I also completed certificates in Trauma Response and Recovery and Marriage and Family Therapy. I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2010 and earned my Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) Practitioner Certification in 2025.

My areas of specialty include trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and preventing and recovering from professional burnout in the helping professions. I have a particular passion for supporting people who spend their lives caring for others and may find themselves feeling depleted, overwhelmed, or unsure how to care for themselves in the process.

My approach is grounded in the belief that your experiences matter and that healing doesn't have to mean doing it alone. Whether you're working through past trauma, navigating a major life transition, grieving a loss, struggling with anxiety or depression, or simply feeling like you've lost your footing, therapy can provide a space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and find a path forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is individualized, collaborative, and focused on where you are right now and where you want to go. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so we will work together to identify your goals and develop a path that feels meaningful and realistic for you.

I meet clients where they are—with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment. Depending on your needs and goals, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches, incorporating a holistic perspective that recognizes the connection between your thoughts, emotions, relationships, experiences, and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

I believe finding the right therapist is an important part of the process, and I want you to feel comfortable with the person you choose to work with. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute consultation before scheduling your first session. This gives us a chance to talk a little about what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and what you’re looking for. It also gives you an opportunity to ask questions and get a feel for whether I might be a good fit for you.

Our first session is 90 minutes, giving us plenty of time to slow down and get to know each other. We’ll talk about your goals, relevant history, and anything else you feel is important for me to understand. I’ll also answer any questions you have about therapy or my approach. Most importantly, there’s no expectation that you have everything figured out before we meet. We’ll start where you are and work together from there.
