Great to meet you!

As a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with survivors of trauma and clients from marginalized identity groups, many people find me easy to talk to, respectful of their background and identity, and knowledgeable about how painful experiences can make it difficult to adjust to new circumstances. I aim to help clients find safe space to speak truth, heal old wounds, reduce symptoms that interfere with living their best lives, and strengthen important relationships.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, welcoming, open, affirming, and most importantly nonjudgmental.

As a trauma therapist I am curious about the impact of difficult experiences on a client's well-being. I invite clients to share (when they are ready), and help them manage anything that gets in the way of sharing (like intense emotion or not feeling safe). I use metaphors and storytelling as a way to teach healing concepts.

Together we define goals for therapy and make a plan to reach your goals.

What you can expect from me

My goal is for clients to feel respected, listened to, supported and empowered.

Results vary, but generally we expect to see improvement in areas of mood, functioning, self worth, relationships, and confidence in their skills to manage future difficulties.
