Great to meet you!

As a board certified psychotherapist in practice for over 15 years, I understand that many who walk into my office are simply seeking balance, purpose and a safe place to heal. Among my areas of specialty are the treatment of trauma, anxiety disorders, OCD, childhood abuse, relationship concerns and/or the lasting effects of narcissistic abuse. I also help clients find their footing through depression, divorce, grief, life transitions, relationship conflict, parenting challenges, chronic pain, career stress, and perfectionism. I offer unwavering compassion through the difficult moments, and will celebrate your victories along the way. I’ve treated individuals across the lifespan, but have shifted my main focus to adults who may be worried about the future, navigating shame or trauma from the past, or just struggling in this season of life - even when things look fine on the outside.

My approach to therapy

I have pursued specialized training in the use of both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). These modalities are often utilized to overcome negative beliefs, phobias, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and more. I am passionate about staying abreast of the most effective therapeutic modalities, and will tailor my approach to meet your unique needs. I will also frequently draw from CBT, DBT, mindfulness and insight oriented approaches.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is a chance for us to slow down and get a real picture of what's going on — what's worrying you about the future, what from the past still feels heavy, or what's making right now feel so hard. I'll ask about your history and what's brought you in, and we go at whatever pace feels okay for you. By the end of our time together, you'll have a sense of how I work and what support could look like moving forward. Above all, this is a space free of judgment.
