Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with individual adults of all ages, adolescents, and couples. I earned a Master of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and am a Webster Institute for Clinical Scholarship alum where I received specialized training in cultural competency utilizing the Ecological Model in Counseling.

It is my belief that all people are capable of change and have the ability within themselves to resolve their own problems, though sometimes we many need a little assistance in therapy. My role in the therapeutic relationship is to help the client explore and resolve life’s troubles by becoming more aware of maladaptive patterns of thinking and behavior that may contribute to problems and develop adaptive patterns and personal skills to manage future challenging life events.

I believe the state of one’s mental health and physical health are connected, and our environment can have an impact on one’s growth and development. I have a particular interest in working with individuals from an ecological perspective and view therapy, exercise, nutrition, and sleep as preventative health measures that influence one’s overall mental an physical health and well-being.

My approach to therapy

I use techniques from several therapeutic modalities through the lens of an ecological perspective anchored in Person-Centered, strengths-based, and emotions-focused therapy, with a particular focus on somatic experiencing, mindfulness, affect phobia, and the autonomic nervous system’s relationship and adaptation to social behavior and our daily lives (Polyvagal Theory).

What you can expect from me

I practice a values aware approach and have dedicated myself to a lifelong journey of self-exploration and self-awareness to ensure I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and unbiased space for all.
