Great to meet you!

Maybe you've been carrying more than you let on lately: worry that won't switch off, pressure at school or work, or a heaviness that's hard to explain to anyone. I work with preteens, teens, and adults who feel overwhelmed or misunderstood, and I'm here to help you make sense of what you're going through. I'm a licensed clinical social worker in Pennsylvania with 8 years in practice and a Master of Social Work from West Chester University. Most of my work centers on depression and anxiety, especially the way they show up in school stress, self-esteem, and relationships. I'm also comfortable sitting with heavier things, like trauma or thoughts of self-harm, when that's what you're facing. I'm an affirming therapist for LGBTQ+ clients and single-parent families, and all of my sessions are online, so you can meet with me from wherever you feel most at ease.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me feels like a real conversation, not a lecture. I listen closely and without judgment, and I shape our work around you instead of following a script. Depending on what you need, I may use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you untangle anxious or self-critical thoughts, motivational interviewing to help you sort out what you want to change, or relational and family-focused approaches that look at how the people around you affect how you feel. Throughout, I pay attention to your strengths, not just what feels hard right now. If you're a teen, I know it can feel strange to open up to an adult you've just met. I'll take your perspective seriously, respect your pace, and never expect you to have it all figured out. If you're a parent, I'm happy to answer your questions about how I work before your teen's first session.

What you can expect from me

If you're nervous about booking, that's completely normal. Reaching out is often the hardest part, and you've already started. Our first session is simply a chance to get to know each other. You'll join from your phone or computer, somewhere private and comfortable, and we'll talk about what's been going on and what you'd like to feel different. You don't need the right words or a plan, and you won't be pushed to share anything before you're ready. I'll ask a few questions, explain how I work, and leave plenty of room for yours. By the end, you'll have a sense of whether we're a good fit, with no pressure either way. As we keep working together, you can expect to leave sessions with coping skills you can actually use in real moments, like before a big test, after a hard conversation, or on a rough night. You'll also build a clearer understanding of yourself and more confidence in your own voice. Growth looks different for everyone, and we'll move at a pace that feels right for you.
