Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Rebecca, a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Louisiana. I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and the unique challenges that can come with being neurodivergent.

My background includes work in outpatient counseling, psychiatric crisis services, and behavioral health settings, where I've supported individuals facing everything from everyday stressors to significant mental health challenges. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and have specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), trauma-informed care, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

I have a special interest in working with trauma survivors, autistic and ADHD individuals, and those navigating grief, loss, and major life changes. My goal is to create a space where clients feel understood, respected, and supported as they move toward healing and growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe enough to be honest, curious, and fully themselves. I strive to create an environment where you don't have to mask, perform, or worry about being judged.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, trauma-informed therapy, and person-centered counseling. Together, we'll explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, process difficult experiences, build coping skills, and identify meaningful steps toward the life you want to create.

I recognize that every person brings their own values, culture, experiences, and goals into therapy. Rather than telling clients how they should live, I work alongside them to help them make choices that align with what matters most to them.

What you can expect from me

I aim to create a space that is warm, accepting, and welcoming—a place where you can show up exactly as you are.

One of my core beliefs is that healing does not mean reaching a point where life no longer hurts. Difficult seasons, painful emotions, and unexpected challenges are part of being human. The goal of therapy isn't to eliminate discomfort or ensure that you never struggle again.

Instead, I help clients develop the skills, insight, and self-trust needed to move through life's challenges in ways that feel consistent with their values. Success isn't about never reacting, never feeling overwhelmed, or always getting it right. It's about learning how to respond to life's difficulties with greater awareness, self-compassion, and intention.

My hope is that clients leave therapy feeling more connected to themselves, more confident in their ability to handle what life brings, and better equipped to build a life that feels meaningful to them.
