Rebecca (she/her) is a New York-based board certified body-oriented psychotherapist who serves her clients in integrating full range self-expression through nonverbal means. After four years with NYC Health + Hospitals Psychiatry, she shifted her focus to trauma-focused virtual work and accessible interventions. She has her post-graduate certification in Creative Arts for Trauma. Rebecca also served as the chapter president of the New York State Board of the American Dance Therapy Association for 5 years.
This approach centers on the nervous system, with Rebecca serving as a mirror for her clients. The body keeps the score, and Rebecca works alongside clients to understand their patterns. The creative arts therapy process utilizes visualization, story-telling, and choreography to promote healing, and closure that facilitates emotional, cognitive, physical, and social integration. Music from platforms like Spotify and Apple sets the soundscape for each session.
As an active voice in her field, Rebecca has developed a unique method weaving the vast somatic & ancient insights of Dance/Movement Therapy to personally tailor each session. Sessions body-fully & mindfully address stress management, emotional regulation, relational blocks, limiting belief systems, family dynamics and the transpersonal, existential unknown.
