Dr. Rebecca McCoy

I have been in the mental health field for over 24 years. Time flies is an understatement! I have my PhD and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I started off as an elementary teacher and then switched professions. I love working with adolescents, adults, individuals, families and couples. I'm originally from Minnesota and have been in Florida for over 8 years now. I am married and we have 2 girls who are in their early 20's.

Sooo... life is messy and at times can be really tough. My role is to help you navigate this thing we call life so that you and your loved ones can live a happy, productive, fulfilling life that you want. It's a journey and I will be here to walk alongside you as we work together as a team to understand what that means, where you want to be and how we get you there!

Therapy isn't always easy. If I'm doing my job well, I'm challenging you and potentially uncovering things you don't want to. No one learns or gets better when things are easy. Now, with that being said, I don't push too hard. I will walk the pace you want to go in. You will need to do some work if you want things to change in your life. Whatever that means for you. There's almost always something to think about or homework to do before next session. I am also ALWAYS open to feedback. If I say something that upsets you or you are feeling a certain type of way, let me know. I can't change anything if I'm not aware.
