Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years of nursing experience, including extensive experience in behavioral and mental health care. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Walden University. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, grief, stress, and other mental health challenges. My goal is to provide compassionate, culturally responsive, person-centered care that respects each client’s individual experiences, values, and goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I take time to understand the whole person—not simply a diagnosis or list of symptoms. Together, we explore your concerns, personal history, strengths, culture, lifestyle, and treatment goals. When appropriate, care may include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, education, supportive therapeutic interventions, and coordination with other members of your healthcare team. I believe clients should feel informed and actively involved in decisions about their mental health care.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another in a welcoming and judgment-free environment. We will discuss what brought you to care, your current symptoms and concerns, relevant medical and psychiatric history, medications, life circumstances, and what you hope to accomplish through treatment. We will then begin developing an individualized plan together. My goal is for you to leave the first visit feeling heard, respected, and clear about the next steps in your care.
